This factsheet explains how to make a written complaint about misconduct by the NSW Police Force, including getting legal advice first, gathering evidence, clearly setting out the facts and specific grounds of complaint, and stating the outcome you seek. 

Complaints can be made to either NSW Police or the independent Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC).
