Social housing refers to both public housing and community housing. Each social housing provider is governed both by the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 (NSW) and its own policies which may differ between providers.
This webinar provides an overview of some common money-related issues that arise in public and community housing:
- charges - rent, water usage, tenant damage/repairs
- Commonwealth Rent Assistance
- rent arrears
- subsidies - including calculations and cancellation.
This webinar will be valuable to NSW community workers and volunteers who work with people applying for and living in public housing and community housing.
