A judgment in a landmark class action led by Slater and Gordon Lawyers and Redfern Legal Centre against the State of New South Wales is due Tuesday, September 30 at 10:00 AM.
Justice Dina Yehia will deliver the judgment to the NSW Supreme Court.
The proceedings will also be live-streamed.
Leading class action law firm Slater and Gordon and Redfern Legal Centre commenced the class action in July 2022, brought by Raya Meredith on behalf of people who were forced to be strip searched by NSW Police at music festivals from 2016.
The class action has to date had more than 3,000 people register with thousands more strips searches conducted across the claim period.
Slater and Gordon’s William Zerno and Redfern Legal Centre’s Sam Lee will hold a media conference outside the NSW Supreme Court shortly after the judgment.
